Agreement and Eligibility

By using Vitae, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app. You must be able to form a binding agreement in your location and comply with applicable law.

Nutrition Information Is an Estimate

Vitae is a general wellness and record-keeping tool, not a medical device or healthcare service. Nutrition labels, manual entries, and AI-generated estimates can be incomplete or inaccurate. Review and edit results before relying on them.

Vitae does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent disease and does not provide medical, dietary, or emergency advice. Consult a qualified professional about health conditions, allergies, eating disorders, medications, or material changes to diet.

Access and Acceptable Use

Manual tracking does not require an account. Hosted features use an eligible App Store subscription automatically, without a separate Vitae login. You are responsible for protecting access to your device and Apple Account.

You may not misuse, disrupt, reverse engineer, automate abusive traffic to, evade quotas for, or attempt unauthorized access to Vitae or its providers. We may rate-limit, suspend, or terminate hosted access when reasonably necessary to protect users, the service, or comply with law.

Vitae Pro Subscription

• Vitae Pro is an auto-renewable subscription purchased through Apple's App Store.
• The price, billing period, introductory offer, and renewal terms shown by Apple at purchase control the transaction. Taxes may apply.
• A free trial, when offered, converts to a paid subscription unless canceled at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
• Your Apple Account is charged at confirmation and within 24 hours before renewal. Manage or cancel in Apple subscription settings.
• Deleting hosted AI data or the app does not cancel the subscription. Vitae provides restore-purchase and subscription-management controls.
• Refund requests are handled by Apple under its policies and applicable law.

Vitae Pro provides hosted AI access subject to reasonable request, size, concurrency, and abuse limits. Exact limits may change to protect service availability and unit economics; material changes will not remove an already-paid core subscription period without an appropriate remedy required by law.

Your Content

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Vitae and its service providers a limited right to process submitted content only as needed to provide, secure, and support the requested feature, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Do not submit content you lack the right to use, unlawful content, or unnecessary sensitive personal information. Hosted estimates are generated by third-party AI services and may be similar to results provided to others.

Availability and Changes

We aim to keep Vitae reliable, but hosted services may be unavailable, delayed, or changed. Local data can be lost through device failure, deletion, or software issues, so use Vitae's export feature and Apple backups when appropriate.

We may update the app, providers, models, quotas, and these terms. Changes apply prospectively when posted or otherwise communicated. Continued use after an effective change means you accept the revised terms where permitted by law.

Disclaimers and Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vitae is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted operation. We are not responsible for decisions made from nutrition estimates or for third-party services outside our control.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vitae's developer is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Termination and Contact

You may stop using Vitae or delete your hosted account at any time. Provisions that logically survive termination—including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and purchase records—continue to apply.
